Updating the Comprehensive Plan for the City of MinneapolisPlan Submitted to Metropolitan CouncilThe comprehensive plan was approved by the City Council on July 11, 2008. This approval is contingent upon the successful completion of the plan’s formal review by the Metropolitan Council. The plan was previously approved by the City Council’s Zoning and Planning Committee on June 26, 2008 and the Planning Commission on June 2, 2008. Final city approval of the plan will be initiated once the Metropolitan Council review process is complete. The version of the plan being submitted to the Metropolitan Council for formal review is now available online. This reflects all changes made during the City Council approval process, as well as those identified during an informal preliminary review by the Metropolitan Council.
